POLICY

Testing Accuracy and Limitations:
Exhale Utah conducts short-term radon tests (48–96 hours) and IAQ scans using industry-standard devices (continuous monitors or charcoal kits for radon, IAQ monitors for PM2.5, VOCs, CO2). Tests follow EPA protocols (closed-house conditions, 12 hours prior, per agreement). Unofficial radon scans (included in IAQ packages) provide estimates, not certified results; official tests are recommended for levels ≥4 pCi/L (health.utah.gov, 2025). Accuracy depends on client compliance with closed-house conditions. Non-compliant tests as a result of tampering or negligence may require a retest. Results are delivered after the concluded appointment by a printed results page or via email (depending on the service) with health risk guidance.

Refund and Cancellation Policy:

A deposit is required at the time of scheduling any service and will be applied to the total cost, the remainder of which will be collected at the time of service. Cancellations 24 hours prior receive a full deposit refund. No refunds for completed tests or non-compliance with closed-house conditions, as this voids results. Rescheduling within 24 hours is permissible via email pending

Client Privacy and Data Protection Policy:

Exhale Utah collects client data (name, address, contact info, test results) solely for testing and reporting and quality assurance purposes. Data is stored securely and not shared with any other party, except if required by law. IAC forms and test reports are retained for 3 years, per industry standards. Clients may request data deletion via email pending.

Health and Safety Policy:

Exhale Utah may use PPE (personal protective equipment) during tests to minimize exposure to potentially harmful pollutants. Clients must maintain closed-house conditions (12 hours prior, per agreement) for accurate results and the safety of testing personnel.

Mitigation/IAQ Improvement Recommendation Policy:

Exhale Utah provides radon and IAQ testing, not mitigation. If radon levels are found to be within the EPA-dictated action level (≥4 pCi/L) or IAQ results show risks (e.g., high PM2.5, PM10, VOCs etc.), we recommend certified mitigation professionals or ventilation solutions. The goal of our independent tests is to ensure unbiased results.
